Hofi is a highly respected barber in Collegium and an agent of the Wasp Empire. He owns a barbershop in the upscale mercantile district of Collegium. His clientele includes multiple Assemblers. His duties for the rekef mainly including information gathering and occasionally making someone disappear.

Appearance and Character[]

Despite his role as a rekef within the empire Hofi genuinely enjoys living in Collegium and compares it favorably to the empire. He respects Collegium's democratic governance and belief in racial equality; for in the empire Flies are second class citizens. Hofi is bold and decisive, choosing to betray the empire rather than assist in Collegium's destruction.

Plot Synopsis[]

Dragonfly Falling[]

At the start of the First Lowlands War, Hofi had been placed in Collegium for four years and has been a citizen for three. While the Siege of Tark is underway, Thalric meets with Hofi, Arianna, Scadran, and Graf, the rekef presence within city, to give them new orders. Hofi and the others spend several days attempting to drive a wedge between Stenwold Maker and the Assembly but the plan ultimately backfires and the Assembly agrees to hear Stenwold's case. Graf is not present for the subsequent failed assassination attempt on Stenwold. Following that attempt when Thalric reveals the coming Vekken siege and his intentions for Hofi and the others to sabotage the city's defense, Hofi has immediate private misgivings. Hofi arranges a meeting with Scadran and Arianna where they agree none of them wants to assist in a brutal Vekken siege of the city. The trio decide their only option is to kill Thalric and Graf, their rekef overseers. The next day, at a meeting Thalric intended to pass off final orders, the trio attack the pair of Wasps. Hofi manages to kill Graf, but he is in turn killed by Thalric.

Abilities[]

Hofi is a skilled barber. He is also a surprisingly ferocious fighter.
